These three will fight!

American families don't want their health care taken away. Republicans know this. They just don't care.

Mitch McConnell announced last week that he's looking forward to attacking affordable health care again as soon as he gets back to Washington.

We can't give him that chance. That's what the Health Care Heroes are all about: building a Congress dedicated to expanding health care coverage – not taking it away.

We've got just eight days until Election Day. Please chip in to support the newest Health Care Heroes!

Let's meet them:

A former CIA operations officer, Abigail Spanberger (VA-07) is the mother to three daughters. When she saw her opponent David Brat enthusiastically voting to take health care away from nearly 50,000 people in his district (as well as undermine a woman's right to choose), she stepped up to fight for Virginia families. Where Abigail has dedicated her life to her country and will always do what's best for the people in her district, Brat has proven himself more loyal to Donald Trump, voting with Trump 99 percent of the time.

As a young cancer survivor, Clarke Tucker's (AR-02) work to protect access to health care is personal. His decision to run for Congress was spurred by Republican French Hill's vote for the one-two injustice of the Trumpcare debacle and the corporate tax cut scam. On the campaign trail now, Hill wants people to believe he supports coverage for preexisting conditions. But he's consistently voted to drive up the cost of coverage and strip away protections for people who, like Clarke, live with preexisting conditions.

As a child growing up in Las Cruces, NM, Xochitl Torres Small (NM-02) heard stories about her grandmother, who immigrated from Mexico and worked in the fields to build her American dream. While her family never had a lot of money, Xochitl worked her way through school to become a water rights lawyer, fighting for the community that made her success possible. She's committed to making health care affordable for all people and improving care in rural areas.

She's running against Republican Yvette Herrell, who brags that she's backed Trump "from day one of his campaign," and supported the Republican health care plan which would increase premiums for older Americans, bankrupt rural hospitals, and gut coverage for people with preexisting conditions.

These final days are the most important, as campaigns put more people on the ground – knocking on doors, making phone calls – and above all, getting out the vote.

Let's keep up the momentum: join me in supporting these three Health Care Heroes!
